I Loved the car before and I still love it! It's your car man if you wanna sticker bomb it go for it, if you want to shit on the hood go for it.

The only things I can say negatively from a person that doesn't care what you do to your own car I can say that you should try to fix the cluster trim.

Also I have nothing against sticker bombing, not that I would ever do it to my car, but I do think it looks better when its done with actual stickers as opposed to a wrap.
Then your individual sticker bomb job IS original and actually unique.

Anyway I give props for making a bomb ass G and going away from the norm.

Well after my first fbgls/bondo license plate Shave on the front bumper failed ...blasting a shoppin cart didn't help, decided to tear it all off and rock the JDM bumper with a plate for awhile...

Did it for awhile...but got tired of it...so refiberglassed, insulating foam, and bondoed it and a fresh base coat and clear were applied .......much better !

    PRIMER

    BASE COAT

    CLEAR COAT

SO I finished that and with MOD right around the corner, and as always my interior annoying the shit out of me, suede on my dash went from black to olive green thanks to mother nature lol..

I decided to go a different route...

I always liked the look of the vr4 interior

So I started fiberglass ing and insulating and bondo ing my USDm center console...with a certain look in mind, man that console got heavy and just plane hideous...put in a lot of work...

until I thought maybe a "DIAMANTE DASH" would look nice ;)

    So I LOOKED IT UP!!

    Thought for a sec....
Then thought again ...man that looks awfully familiar...

    They're almost identical...
So I scratched my interior custom work and thoughts....why not be the first to try a diamanté dash ....

    FROM....

    To...

Well lucky me found A diamante 03" black dash today in river head....completed dash for $125 no tax..
And so it begins ..( FYI a lot of cutting , dremel I's a MUST!
Anyhow soft so good will post more pics soon...enjoy

Nice job. I'm sure going custom is usually the hardest route, but I'm sure its worth it when it works lol. Hope the dash turns out great like the bumper

Joe, let me know if you need some parts for the interior, we have a couple Diamantes down here in a couple of our junkyards. I would love to tackle something like this, I love the D interior. I still want another one.

Thank you brotha...appreciate the offer...I'll keep you posted...and post more as I can, this interior is so sexy!!blows away the 8g (us version)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but with the diamante dash, doesn't look like you'll have to worry about the 8g infamous dash cracking. Just thought of that lol, probably because mine erks me

Just an update after more trimming and Test fitting and trimming lol....so far looks great..couple things for anyone who might do this next... A) fuse box will need to be relocated B) unfortunately :/ sides of dash will need to be trimmed off so that doors will close OR!!! Door panels under tweeters need to be modded "severely" and possible fiberglass work will need to be done. C) diamanté airbag may or may not be able to be enabled...our steering column bar that goes across from drivers to passengers may interfere with its mounting location. BUT ON A BETTER NOTE, this dash looks AMAZING! compared to old dash, so ugly and after 3 8gs I'm so tired of it, my interior alone made me want to upgrade my car. Lol

This made me want to look in to swapping out my center armrest for a 3g one. But good work!

Only sonata f5m42 swapped. N/A build in motion.

Yea the stock g setup was such a letdown anything can be done but the only downside is none of the factory mounting locations mount up....so u gotta get creative...I'm in for a lot of work. I wish I could get my hands on the vr4 LHD dash , bet they'd bolt right up no modifications..but I wouldn't know where to start looking

As of now ive been eyeing them up they look pretty close but im sure theres small differences. But one of these day ill try the swap in the jy. I hate the stock armrest it gets in the way of shifting so i removed it.

This ones got a nice slope to it ...easier shifting ...just mold it on the diamante dash lol

Not too sure what I'm gonna do with gauges , I'm thinking use the "D" bezel and buy the gauges used only to take apart the housing and possibly pull out the G's and retrofit the "D" housing with g tach, temp, fuel, and mpg gauges ...maybe lil light bondo prime and paint ...lens on and bezel back on , should work well any suggestions ?
