Unbolt it n spray it? N I completed it last night n didn't get the code til this afternoon when I stepped on the gas so I disconnected the battery so turn it off then it turned off n turned on after 20 minutes of the car warming up n 15 minutes of driving.
clean out the tube too. its quite large but you never know
that has to be your problem right there
not necessarily the computer has to register it and it found the problem so it turned the check engine light on.
Idk but to get the feel of the throttle response I drove it like I stole it all the way home last night n no code. Then when I was bringing the wife home 2/21/11 just before work I stomped on the gas cuz I like the new roar of the engine lol n it popped up.
it probably has a bog to it because of the egr line missing.but thats the problem there since you said the code is egr bad flow.i bet if you replaced the line/tube it would go away.
Well I swapped 2 hoses n disconnected the negative battery cable to reset the cel then took it for a drive it like I stole it lol. My street is a straight away got it up to about 60 then on the highway got it up to 115 then off the highway I was really hard on the gas n the cel didn't pop up. So we'll see what happens tomorrow.
the ECU registers codes after 2 driving cycles. If there was a malfunction that inst fatal for the engine to run, it will pop it after 2 restarts. EGR is usually activated at light cruise conditions, doing hard highway pulls wont do much for this one..
The reason he's saying that it may bog is that the tube is broken and that tube is on the IM which is post MAS which makes it a post MAS leak which is an air that isnt metered by the MAS. Its very surprising that its not popping a MAS code too.
My EGR is blocked with a plate because I mhave Megan headers on now.. I have a CEL what should I do? I have inspection this month..
