need more info.
what engine do you have?
what state are you in?
what is your budget?
what rear bumper are you going to use?
do you plan on lowering the car much?
OK, So I plan on running dual exhaust on my car BUT I dont know what mufflers will fit under there. I know I need two but which brands will fit with no issues?
Or should I just do straight pipe from y-pipe?
Any help will be most appreciated!!
I have the v6
Live in GA
400 budget
I plan on using the one i currently have or get one from a junkyard.
And no lowering anytime soon.
I had searched through threads but couldn't find much
i would recomend against running without mufflers. and as far as muflers go, almost any round or oval mufflers will fit under there since we have lots of room either side of the spare tire well. the inlet size you want 2.25"-2.5". you will have to cut a matching cutout on the passenger side of the bumper. i would have a good exhaust shop do the piping and install. make sure they route the piping and split above the rear cross member.

as far as what mufflers to use, that's up to you, just keep in mind you get what you pay for so cheap may not be the best way to go. i have AERO TURBINE's and i am very happy with them. the other major brands are good as well... MAGNA FLOW, DYNOMAX, FLOWMASTER, BORLA, REMUS, etc., are all good choices.
Thanks so much for getting back to me. No one else seemed to want to help...
So i really appreciate it!
well this is a very specific question. I think you just need to get up under there and take some measurements to see what will fit. I'm running a Magnaflow 140827 (I think that's the part number.. I'll double check later) universal muffler and I think it sounds great. It has just the right tip length as well, so it's not too "sunken" in behind the bumper. Plenty of room behind the bumper as well.
Most of the big brands make universal mufflers. Like Reelax said, look for 2.25"-2.5" inlet. If you want a cleaner, stock look, go for 3" tips
^^^does that fit well in the place of the stock one?
That looks so nice.

I think that might be the same muffler/tip combo
yup. 35th aniversary camaro ss SLP Center Mount Exhaust tips and matching SLP Center Mount Valence (molded into my rear bumper). i bought those parts directly from SLP around 2004 but both are now discontinued. the mufflers are AERO TURBINE and the piping is all custom from the cat back.
I miss my 94 Camaro..... (Sigh...RWD)
