Thanks man! I seriously believe this is the best upgrade I have ever done to my car. Lol find myself staring at my car sometimes HAHA
^^ pics arent showing dude. try uploading them on www.photobucket.com
I Miss My Galant :(
im convinced that aftermarket intakes play a role in the manifold cracking. i have had always had my stock one with a modded airbox and i have never had any problems. everyone i know who has had a problem has an aftermarket intake
I had my AEM for 80000 miles on my old I4 Galant without any issues whatsoever.
I'm with Dave. I had a weapon R intake in the beginning and then I got the AEM intake that I have now and no issues what so ever *knocks on wood*
took it out for fresh air

It's not the intake that causes the intake issues guys, it's the engine mounts. Specially the front and rear ones. The intake is not nor will it ever be heavy enough to bounce around and to crack that thin steel manifold and yes they are steel. Engine with bad mounts rocking back and forth will.

Burned a spliced wire that went aaaaaaaaaaaall around the dash and into the ignition. Pain in my ass.
No i've thought about installing it a couple of times. I couldn't get the nuts off to put the bar on. i may try tomorrow. i plan on being in the garage all day.
Where did you get the piping for your IC, i have to connect the intake piping with the IC outlet, and can't think of where to go to get the hardware.
You know i was just thinking to myself today..."I wonder if Matt's still around?..."
Its a fairly easy install once you put thing back on.
The piping is custom. My friend when he lived in Orlando used to do I/C piping for alot of cars and did some of the piping for the Titan Motorsports supras for a bit. He had a BUNCH of aluminum piping and bends in his garage or could get them shipped if needed next day. He just asked what size piping I wanted and he would cover the rest.
nice work
v70r ftw
It's actually a V70-R clone. We're getting the bumper and foglights soon and then everything should be done. I spent 3? hours washing, scrubbing, drying, wiping. The sun was soooo bright... It heated up so fast the water was leaving spots before I could even dry it! I had to wash twice because of the frikkin spots... Soooo worth it though. It definitely turns heads...
