I looked up that aluminum coolant reservoir on eBay found one similar to yours but it didn't have the bracket welded on it.

Heck yeah, exactly! It was quite enjoyable letting that dude have it cause I know he never saw it coming ^_^
Yeah man mine isnt welded I used 3m tape. If vortex generators and exterior body parts are held on a little can is nothing lol.
I think my car met up with Ivory or something. Developing an attitude like hers lately.
Last night I was like "wow the coolant temp never reaches half way and all is good. Kinda makes the half radiator I ordered pointless. Maybe I'll just return it."
What did the car decide to do?
Punch a hole in the radiator with the turbo of course LOL. Sitting there looking all smug like HAH I get my half radiator now right?! ^_^
-___-
How did it manage that? Just by natural movement of the motor? Well I guess on the bright side you have the rad on its way.
It was sitting pretty close with the old radiator and the new bigger turbo but never hit it. I pulled the radiator from a 2003 galant 4g64 and it was a slightly thicker core. it was touching. So I hit boost and the turbo let the radiator have it. LOL I guess mitsu upped the core size just a tad on the 2003's. Ah well half radiator is going in for sure now and there will be some more engine room. I just dont want to change it all out and burp the system AGAIN! lol.
Auch!
Bumper quick releases are on! Aww yeah! waiting for the dumb half radiator to come in still :(

so do those quick releases replace the screws that hold the corners of the bumpers on?
yep. My evo has a set on her too. Best invention ever. bumper off in 1 minute flat and 30 seconds of that is standing around day dreaming LOL
nice, im loving this build more and more
So radiator came today.
Snowing 30* out idgaf it went in.
"We have so much room for activities now!" HAHA

Imagine when I do a pull at night and the turbo hotside glows bright red? fap fap fap!
Now that would be sick. This car is cold man!
Nice, with the size and placement of it, and the location of the turbo...it looks meant to be lol. It would be sick to see that turbo glowing through the grille
thats tough! glad things are working for you. i blew a transfer case saturday :(
Half rad all buttoned up and got a chance to log temps and max i hit in city driving with traffic was 205*F on a 70*F day
The stocker with both slim fans netted me 223*F on a 70*F day and I was driving on the highway lol.

Throw some water wetter in there and I'll be chill!
It'll be chillin after that lol
damn skippy. already have a 8% cooling increase at worse. At its coolest its almost a 20% gain
How is that half Rad held in place??
gaffer tape!
lol
Marc, I was looking at your valve cover and don't see your throttle cable, how did you tuck it if you don't mind me asking?
I wanna know this too! Send meeee a pm!
I KNOW I KNOW!!!! Thats why I was able to do the shaved valve cover!
Haha so since I got blown up about it I'll share :P
This is the way I tucked my tb cable on Ivory and The Tumbler
Unhook your throttle body cable and runit behind the engine block and along the subframe

I then re-ziptied the cable along the lines along the firewall (redid it with blue zipties so its easy for everyone to spot)

It should easily make a "U" shape and fire directly back to the throttle body

No binding no problems and works just fine :)
So simple! Genius!!
Thanks Alex :)
