Ive always wanted on of those impact drivers.
I never have time homie. Something always going on. Had to squeeze an hour out to do that. Almost was late getting my kids from daycare because of it, and that's a big no-no, they charge a dollar a minute if you're late.
They're a godsend, they're good for getting stuck floorboard screws out of the crossmembers under the metrorail cars we work on. KD brand, but works fine.
As some here know, I purchased a 2010 Endeavor earlier this week. With only 76k on the odometer, I figure I probably would be fine to wait until next Spring before considering timing belt replacement. Me being me, I decided to check the belt anyway.

So, I went ahead and replaced it this afternoon.

Long story short, this is exactly why experienced members harp the new guys about maintenance before modifications. There are a list of things that must be inspected when purchasing something like this used, and it's too easy to be lazy or afraid to face it, but they must be addressed.
Anyway, here's a random picture that has me wishing I had a 9G to experiment with.

Daily love. Rattle canned the rusted roof satin black and arched the faded hood and trunk and the jdm bumper, grille, and mirrors. Didn't get to install the fog lights since I forgot them at storage.

55w 5000k HIDs in low beam. No high beam yet. Fogs and high beam will be addressed before mod. As well as mirrors and tail lights too.

Nice pickup M-Rod, does it have the plastic IM? if it does are you going to upgrade it to the aluminum one?
Looks plastic from the pics he posted.

So I bought my G with a huge hole in the dash and I always planned on fixing it...never really knew how I was going to about it...
http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...903157d611.jpg
So I came up with an Idea to simply cover it... so I bought a piece of sheet metal from home depot and had it cut at local machining place to fit...I rounded the edges and and formed it to the shape of the dash

I plan on using left over black (leather like) vinyl that I used on my door panels to wrap it and just glue it on... thinking I might use the Galant letters I removed from the trunk to kinda design it...not sure how its going to turn out tho...any opinions or suggestions?
Nay on the letters.
And why the fuck does that happen, I picked up a gtz that has that on it.

That's what im saying to the people I got it from, "did you guys punch it?"
Lol!

Could it be something sun related? Like heats up and deforms or something...what's behind it? Is there a cavity or anything

It's just a hole...I'm sure the plastic behind it just fell

Idk why that shit came out sideways
Never ever seen that.....not ever. And I've been around here a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG TIME!
Gotta be age-related then, because I've never seen it, and I've owned an 8G for ten years now.
It's a 03 but I think someone or something hit it....but anyway...it looks super random blank...

If I can get the letters perfectly aligned I think it will look much better...

If it were me I'd do the letter more towards the top, that'll look tits

I'm pretty sure it's from someone punching it, there's hard plastic underneath so I'm assuming that it's either been kicked or punched.
Worked on the tune on my car. Im back to 40hr weeks so ill have more time to fix abunch of small things to ivory as well as install some new upgrades.
Ill post updates to my build thread once i start
Ive never had it on my cars. I picked up this GTZ with that so I was like WTF

So far all I see is bumper damage, grille, and my OEM leather bra. Mannnn wtf
Nooooooo
I know man, I know. 70 something year old, turned directly into me at a 4 way stop. Smh
snwflk: that truly sucks, ol'folks behind the wheel tests after age 65 should be like emissions, they gotta pass it on a yearly or bi-yearly basis with much stricter rules/scoring sheet.
For real man I agree, my neck is stiff and stuff. Thanks old dude.
Had the G smogged today and she passed with flying colors with the manny swap. Now its time to do THAT_FRESH KIDS swap knowing they will pass with the swap.. STOKED!!! XD
About fed up with lights right now. Wanted a more white low beam, so I tried 2 sets of bulbs last month (4300k and 5000k) as replacements for my original 6000k bulbs . Had flicker issues with both so I trashed both, and put the 6k back in. So then last week I thought I'd try halogens and these http://www.powerbulbs.com/uploads/im...ot_480_480.jpg sounded like what I wanted. Installed em today and ended up dissappointed. So now it feels like money going in the trash again, and these cost about the same as the hid bulbs put together smh.
So heads up don't buy these. Not really as white as philips hyped them to be.
Welp, I told you halogen bulbs are garbage I dont care what brand they are philps, silverstars, piaa, plasmas/xenons, nokias or whatever the fuck. They will always disappoint once you have used HIDs. Should have put that money towards a "quality" kit that will not flicker or die out prematurely.
Also another thing, I wouldn't trust the Kelvin rating on halogens to make you feel warm and fuzzy inside.
And one other, next time you have an issue with a kit flickering or one side out and its a faulty bulb or you simply wants some up my ass blue 8 billion K lights, please refrain from buying "just bulbs". Do yourself a favor and buy a new complete kit, they're at an all time cheap now a days, and when you do get it and install it and everything is peaches save the used parts that still work for emergency parts should the new kit fail on you. No being a prick just typing as I'm thinking so I don't forget what I want to say.
For the record: "I told you so"

Reason I even went for them is because looking at other bulbs people posted reviews of from philips, the color somewhat matched the suggested kelvin. And the way they made these out to be their whitest, I figured these were the closest to what I wanted. Even with hids I've seen variations in kelvin rating vs acutual color in person, depending on brand.
I just wanted to try a different route vs the hassle I've dealt with hids recently. Yeah I could've gotten another kit deemed reputable, but if I for some reason had issues, I know I would want to try halogens. I knew there would be an obvious difference in brightness, I was just hoping the kelvin would be more accurate
I've got an HID kit from "xtune" and they work flawlessly...I have never had an issue since I installed them 2.5 years ago. Pretty sure they are 6000k or however you say it btw...
Just my .02

Nice, thanks for the heads up. Also I think I should note while I like hids, I also considred halogens assuming there might be less chance of unwanted attention. In VA, they can be unforgiving depening on which part for things like lighting, tint, exhaust etc. And while I braved it for years even with my last car, I think I kinda want peace of mind now and have my cake too if possible.
Shouldn't be anything wrong with HID headlights? They have been coming as OEM options for several years now

Thats thing, "if its oem" lol. That's exactly the excuse they use when they pull you for exhaust most of the time. I had a past issue with 8000k hids in my 240 based on color alone and not them being hids. Plus I'm sure the brightness and possible glare could draw attention if they want to be picky, so why wait until I get pulled if I can change it now, is how I look at it lol.
Plus you gotta think how often do you see a 8g with hids? Speaking for myself, I've only seen one other 8g besides mine with hids in my city. That makes it even more of a no brainer for them its not factory.
