i dont get it ....why are they angled? (the calipers)
^^Looks like the way the 7G knuckles are made just have them sitting at an angle like that.
i thought they used jdm 8g knuckles
Brembos FTW !
Brembos look beautiful tucked in there.
Because instead of $600 JDM knuckles, some dude made adapter brackets for the USDM knuckle. The adapter makes them sit angled
MOst JDM are the same as USDM, but some knuckles from certain year are the ones to use. Which of course makes them very rare and expensive
Gotcha. Thanks for the info bro!
8g World spec Galants (JDM/EDM) have very identical chassis. Majority of the suspension is compatible with the UDSM 7g's, but the USDM 8g is different from the world spec 8g Galants, mostly with the front suspension.
JDM/EDM 8g Galants use multilink front suspension while the USDM use a mcpherson strut setup.
The JDM/EDM 8g Galants/Legnums that have the front knuckles that are compatible for the Brembo upgrade for USDM 7gs are the VR4, Super VR4, Viento (V6 models), some GDI models and higher end 8g Galant Diesel models in certain EDM markets.
I think I paid like 150shipped or something for my JDM 8g knuckles. Got them from a member in Austrailia though, not Japan.
What master cylinder are you running?
I need to pull my brownbo's when I garage the GS this winter and have them powdercoated. Yours look great.
Thanks guys!
For now Im still using the stock galant master cylinder, but I have 1 1/8'' MC off 3g/8g and I plan on using it with the other galant
so you're using adaptors? cool!
my vr4 being a pfl is 130mm bolt spacing, where brembos are 160mm. is it a L shaped bracket?
yeah, L-shaped bracket
Check it out

I am just curious quick question can you use the brembo set up with the 6g vr4 brake rotors? The 6g rotors are bigger then the stock 7g rotors arent they.
