I Miss My Galant :(
im convinced that aftermarket intakes play a role in the manifold cracking. i have had always had my stock one with a modded airbox and i have never had any problems. everyone i know who has had a problem has an aftermarket intake
I had my AEM for 80000 miles on my old I4 Galant without any issues whatsoever.
I'm with Dave. I had a weapon R intake in the beginning and then I got the AEM intake that I have now and no issues what so ever *knocks on wood*
took it out for fresh air

It's not the intake that causes the intake issues guys, it's the engine mounts. Specially the front and rear ones. The intake is not nor will it ever be heavy enough to bounce around and to crack that thin steel manifold and yes they are steel. Engine with bad mounts rocking back and forth will.
