What kind of tubular manifold is that? Its not a ebay XSpower one is it?
its totally an ebay one. mine looks just like it!
Oh yea. One more thing. Youll have to adjust that wastegate actuator arm on that ebay turbo. My GF is running the big 16g from ebay and with her boost controller set to the lowest boost setting its still hitting 20 PSI. Ive yet to adjust it because she doesnt drive the car much and if she does drive it she cant push it past 3k rpm without the stock POS intake pipes blowing off. Were waiting on her to save up for a FMIC and piping. Youll want to look out for that and adjust in small increments.
bought some parts today
clutch, brake and gas pedal
1g cam angle snesor
coil pack
water pipe
how the hell do you pop the wires out of the plugs? Driving me nuts cause i pop the white tabs up and nothing. Im about to just cut and solder
.... try pushing them forward...
ecu swap done. I just needed something smaller to push them out.

Dual JDM intarfooler setup FTW!
even says jdm
JDM = "Just Damn Macho"
Last pic, right next to the dip stick - theres a bolt that proly will snap later on. You needz a mitsu bolt right there
man you should have never cut that bumper up like that......
..... is it a special heat treated proprietary alloy bolt?
no, its not. OEM mitsu turbo bolts are the way they are for a reason. Even down to the special spring washers.
Also just a heads up, the with the extreme heat and vibration of our engines, its not just the welds that fail on thin tubular manifolds. The piping itself can develop cracks and fail. Just make sure your downpipe is secured to the block in the OEM mounting point. there are very few manifolds out there that can handle the weight of a turbo, o2 housing, and downpipe.... as well as the exhaust system swinging around, and the engine torquing against it.
secure the downpipe to the block, and use all polyurethane exhaust hangers(to keep exhaust motion and vibration to a minimum).
Also doesn't hurt to use prothane motor mounts for a million reasons.
LOL, well yes it is a alloy bolt and yes it is heat treated. Alloy steals come in many different types its dependent on the amount of iron and carbon and the grade of the bolt refers to the hardness (heat treating process) so yes they are heat treated alloy bolts. Its the highest grade metric bolt (grade 12 for metric) I doubt that i will have a problem with the damn bolt. I can see and under stand your point with the manifold, but the bolt is under little strain and im pretty sure that it is made out A2 tool steel which most high grad bolts are and if you look up the uses from that type of steel you will see that they use if for stuff that takes more abuse then a bolt mounting a 02 housing on a turbo.
more parts came today, I got my clutch, brake, and gas pedal, 1g cas, 2g coil ignition, and my 2g water pipe.

nice! i want a garage that i can just work on my car when i want!
Good to hear. Should be running in no time!
I see you moved all the dead bod....err nice garage.
Lol dave!
Yea its super weird having it here, put my heads back in did a check on my ecu and she is working with dsm link so I'm happy, going to tackle ignition today, and the fuel system stuff
Sweet man. Did you cut your lip out to clear the intercooler nad then graft it back in?
What muffler is that?
Nice build, Can't wait to hear how this all turns out...
I cut a ton of shit off that bumper. to make that FMIC fit, and the grill is staying out.
My muffler is a magnaflow. I can get the part number for you, if you want cause it really does sound good on the galant. I would show you but yea lol car has starting issues right now :( .
Thanks phizz. I can't wait for it to start up again.
Where are you stuck at? Lets get this pig running.
not stuck, added the wires for my ignition coil yesterday and the wire's for my knock sensor. my friend has a two 2g fuel rails for me to use. Got to mount the ignition on my manifold swap fuel pumps this week, put my front end suspension stuff on and get a differant slave cylinder because it is missing the little push arm somehow and i didnt notice it. get some lines for the cluch and do my pedals.
I'm actually going to go with one of the vibrant mufflers. I have a 3" straight through 7"round x 36" long magnaflow in the straight section of my exhaust tunnel. Its flipping massive but makes the car soooooo sexy and quiet. My old megan can on the end is completely shot so i'm in the market for some new hotness.
Yeah thats mine 7'' round x 18'' long body magnaflow resonator. I havent installed it yet

when I got mine I freaked out cause it was soooo damn big. shit man i mean 36" long!!!!
it looked like a damn diesel truck muffler.
somehow though it fit perfectly... and I love it.
back on topic.
my friend has been bugging me to get one of those and i never listened to him.
