manual tranny

I have a V6 auto-tranny galant with the mitsu 6A12 2.0litre engine.
wanna transplant a manual tranny onto this engine. anyone here knows the correct manual tranny part number or code for me to hunt for ?

if you can find a FWD manual FTO donor, there is your transmission. i'm not sure what the tranny code is tho. sorry

the fto transmission code is fm222.

nope! you cannot use the fto 6a12 transmission in the 7g v6 galant. i know. i tried.

i have managed to install the fto manual tranny on my 7g v6 even if the fto manual tranny is 180 degrees opposite orientation. however, the fto tranny has the starter located on the top part of the tranny and will hit the engine block of the galant v6 engine. the 6a12 galant manual tranny starter is located on the bottom part of the tranny and will not hit the engine block.

as i have posted earlier, get the 7 bolt tranny F5M31 code from 6A12 galant fwd n/a.

btw: the second gen 4g63T flywheel (7bolt) will work for the 6a12. as well as the pressure plate and clutch disc.

I know this post is old.. does the 7G Galant Manual Tranny have LSD? just wanna confirm.. also how do we know if its a LSD?!?
