Pics/Vids from the AutoX last weekend...

Pics were posted in the other thread, but more are coming, just waiting for someone to upload them.

My runs werent that great, I didnt keep the 14b spooled enough on that course, should have left it in first in the first corner and onto the straight. Only had 4 runs and botched the first 3 by missing a gate that nobody told me I was missing lolz. Ahh well, I need new tires!

    Vids:

(Clip00018 was my best run of 29.642. The guy in the Porsche after me ran a 23.xxx haha!)
Overall I did ok, finished aobut the middle of the pack. I just need more practice keeping the car in boost throughout the corner. This course was very easy and not technical at all, it was all about keeping the car in motion. I dont think Im going to go to another AutoX untill I get some new tires. These bad boys probably wont last much longer if I run them anymore haha!

looks like you did pretty good.
it was a short course w/o many straightways for you to take advantage of.

with that said, you pretty much have most of what you need to improve yoru standings just sitting there in yoru closet.
    prothane bushings, and upgraded brakes.

just need some taller wheels, shorter tires and some beefy sways.
once you get all that slapped on and your boost issues nipped,
you'll be showing some fools up.

i'm sooo jealous though... i want to have a track day soon!!!

Looking good Seth, It seemed Like soon as you were speeding up the most, you had to slow down and hit a corner. Looks like fun though, I wonder if they have anything like that down here in florida?

Im sure they do, if you live near a big city, they should have AutoX events. Hit up the SCCA or NASA website along with your local car forums :)

Usually as soon as I would get into any sort of boost, I would have to slow down. If I had better tires, I could keep better momentum in the turns and keep in boost while exiting the corner. :)

That sounds just like me, I've had a full bushings set just sittin' in the garage waiting for me to get off my ass and install them.

I'm not even kidding on this, keep the stock sized rotors and get some Hawk HP+ pads, then use like a 13-14 inch rim, as small as you can go, then get some race rubber on them (rims are smaller so thier cheaper) with as wide of tread surface and as little sidewall as you can find them. Then run them and tell me about spool issues.
RIP: Colin McRae, you will be missed.
