My 58mm Sigma DG Wide Polorizing lens are broken, damnit.
Had them mounted on the XT on a tripod on uneven ground and as I was adjusting the tripod's legs it fell over... Now the filter won't turn. Brought them to a photography store and they tried benting the rim out, didn't work. Agh... wanted to use it for my cousin's wedding that just past. Bought them a few days before the wedding.... Wasted $115

took about 1200 some photos this past weekend in STL and after doing editing was down to 890. so it's hard to pick just a few.

    I love that last pic.

I just picked up a Sony A300 two weeks ago. Since I dont know nothing much about photography I figured it would be a good starter camera. I am still reading through the booklet to see everyting that it has.
    Love,
    Matt

    I only shoot in RAW.

fliegendaffe: I like the first one. I need to go to the St Lousi Zoo, I have never been!

actually, i didn't post any of my pics from the zoo. the first few are from the Botanical Garden.

I have learned myself, to only shoot in raw. Helps in the editing phase.

Yeah, especially when you are in a rush and cant set the wb properly. Only time I shoot in jpg is when I need the constant burst and raw fills up the buffer in 6 shots on the XT :(

Bringing this thread back. Thinking about buying a used Canon 70-200mm f4 or Canon 200mm f2.8 instead of a 40d. Then get a 40d + grip come incometax return time.

Anybody use either lesn? Ive used the 70-200mm f2.8 and it rocked.

Would be a great walkaround lens, but I cant buy another lens without USM. Going to use it for sports and motocross, probably get a 1.4x teleconverter too.
