my 6g galant turbo dyno results @ 7psi low boost

my 6g galant is now my daily driver.

i needed to setup my 6g for everyday manila, philippines crazy heavy traffic conditions.

i love the tuning done to it. i use the audio, the a/c on high everyday - no problem with overheating, jerking and idling or fueling issues.

    currently tuned & dynoed @ 7psi (.48bar) of lazy low boost -
    206.2 whp and 306.8 ft.lb torque = 9km/li

i used to boost at 15psi (1bar) with rich mixture :P with around 270whp.

    coming -
    18psi boost (1.2bar) = 400whp & 600 ft.lb...... for motorsports activites.

    low boost 7psi or .48bar = 206.2whp and 306.8 ft.lb

torque at a mere 7psi boost

45psi fuel pressure. i am also using a walbro 255

    jdm cyclone

Which 2.2 setup are you running, the one from magnus??

If so, why is the dyno run topping out at 7k, I thought those things were supposed to rev to 9k. Or are you just taking it easy for now?

Power stop @ 6k...maybe running stock cams...almost pointless to run that high on the streets.

yup! i have lazy low boost with lots of torque. hehe!

i have more torque than most tuned turbo imports with higher boost pressure - about 15psi.

to put things into perspective, my friend's lan-evo 4 was dynoed with these figures:

That is some awesome torque Rex! Bet it makes for some awesome 2-step launches! Up the boost! What injectors are you running, probably about time to ditch that SAFC ;)
    7g for life!

    http://www.magnusmotorsports.com/ - this one? nope.

i just bought over the counter new bigger jdm turbo pistons and rings for the 63T from a local store then i had my block rebored by a credible local machine shop. hehe!

mysticj is right. i am using the stock 1g 63t cams for now.
in a way, i am taking it easy for now then i am going to get me aftermarket cams later on.

my 6g has been seeing alot of daily driver duties now in heavy traffic and low boost with 206.2whp and 306.8 ft.lb sounds just about right for me.

    haha! thanks seth!

my galant launches like a rocket. i love it!

yeah, we can safely turn on the juice at 1.2bar or about 18psi.

i am still running my puny galant vr-4 rs 510cc injectors. i am getting the most out of it with the walbro 255lph and adj fuel reg set at 45psi - stock fuel pressure of most evos. i think the 6g vr-4 has about 37psi stock fuel pressure.

re: piggyback - motec too f**king expensive.
ill probably get an e-manage or unichip piggyback. what say you?
