It was part of the oil cooler kit, and the housing of the re-locator has 2 - 1/8in NPT filtered oil line outlets. That is what I feed the turbo with.

The oil line is routed in a fashon that it is cooled because I removed the inner plastic on the vents to make them functional. The other side is the same but obviously is for the oil cooler radiator.

Drew has the same exact kit.

cool. yeah I know getting airflow to the cooler is sometimes a PITA. I was messing around with my cooler last night for a solid 2 hours trying to find a good place for it now that I have A/C back in the car. MT did you install the stuff with Drew? Make sure you compensate for the added oil capacity of the cooler and all those lines. I know my setup has much shorter hoses and it holds nearly 1 1/2 quarts.

Correct again! 5 quarts is what it takes now (good call), and I did not work on Drew's yet but intend on covering all the issues that I experianced with mine during the installation. Mostly due to rushing and not securing the oil lines off the Oil send and reciever, with one bounce off the ground or road debris rupturing the line. Needing absolute support, but flex for the engine torque (front and back).

Drew loaned me Maximum Boost and have learned more than I could have EVER thought there was to turbo-charging!

lol, glad to see that booked helped you, i usually look over chapter 2 alot, shows the "engineering" concepts to turbocharging and the "PLAN" to what should be modified.

Stewi: i bought a 5 qt of oil and a new filter, so i should be good with getting more oil for the extra length

hopefully i don't run into the same problems that mtcavity had with the oil lines (alot of potholes and bumps to knock off my lines in no time :( )

I was concerned with my lines too. I went to home depot and got zipties that have a ring on the end that can be secured with a bolt or screw. I drilled a two tiny holes into the lower passenger side frame rail and tied the lines up with them, it holds up well and looks pretty clean.

I intend on installing a support bracket that attaches to the bottom AC compressor mount bolt. From there it keeps the profile of the lines at least on the same profile as the oil pan.

I just replenished my supply of steel stock, so will make you a "more attractive" support.

The gunk is from the line blowing off. The lines are BF Goodridge oil lines wrapped in hockey tape.

k, i just received my billet adapter from Tearstone a few nights ago (Russ sent me another adapter after we realized the first didn't get to me, good customer service). I'm hoping to meet up with mtcavity either this upcoming Friday or Saturday to work on the car more. hopefully the fuel system setup goes smoothly.

    more to come later...

    alright, alright

update: ok, this whole things about the fuel and what-not is from mtcavity, laxinwarrior, and me working on the fuel system yesterday at laxin's house.

at first we were gonna have the adapter point downward towards the Outlander IM...

but it's squeezing the line too much, which may have caused our first leak.

so we rerouted the line to point upwards and around the IM to the AFPR, i have to take pics of that later tonight cuz i forgot to take the final pic of the fuel system

did a slight change to the FPR as well, we put a fitting that fit the -4AN SS line and didn't cause leaks

another part we worked on was the electronics lines for the SAFC and Wideband. The boost line was routed with the wideband.

The SAFC was installed as well...

meanwhile, we worked on the bumper and intercooler mounting, i noticed the "grooves" that are on the frame, possible place to set the sides of the intercooler...

    crash bar

also took off the line for cooling the power steering

i might mount a PS cooler later on, depends if i really need it or not.

highly doubt if the intercooler's JDM :?

underrated, you didn't tell me this was on there

also decided to get the TGC stickers on the car too (sorry since this has NOTHING to do with the turbo )

i decided to have the bottom "tube" of the crash bar cut out and set the intercooler from there, we'll get the fitment pics and mounting the next time i head to laxin's house.
right now i have a CEL and am gonna go to autozone later tonight to see what the code is. Plus i'm gonna double check the SAFC manual to see if i can prevent the car from wanting to stall when idling in drive.

possibly next week i'll go back and work on the fuel line (change from -4 to -6 AN fuel line) as well as actually mounting the intercooler and oil cooler. After finals week (may 13th) i'll be able to work on the car every day.

laxin: let me know what days are good to drop by to work on the lines, IC, and oil cooler, after the 13th, i'm available every day til i start doing my summer internship.
GOOSEY: let me know if you have the -6AN lines

i actually got my lines from GOOSEY but accidentally installed the -4AN lines (meant for the oil) in for the fuel
so i'm probably gonna order the -6AN lines from extremepsi as well as the fittings for the lines.

btw extremepsi is EXTREMELY fast with shipping; they're located minutes away from laxinwarrior's house. i got my products to my house the day after i ordered them  :D

no problem, just remind me the day you ship them so someone at my house can sign for the package.

i decided not to use the SAFC (for now) cuz the CEL was for a low voltage on the air output signal and the SAFC may have been causing that problem. the connection for the air flow signal is shorted on the harness and the CEL is gone :D
right now i'm tuning with the MAFTranslator to find the settings i can be at for MID and WOT (if i change the BASE/AUX settings to where the C3G tutorial says, my car stalls immediately :( ). gonna datalog that as well.

not sure when the next time i'll be working on the project will be though :?

well... it's an ongoing process don't kmnow the exact date when i'll be installing the turbo itself. mtcavity and laxinwarrior have been helping me with facilities to work in , but laxin's gotta work on the headgasket and mtcavity works alot :(

    hopefully sometimes within early June.
