Ok so I did a little test fitting today.....

overall I am very happy with the fitment, tomorrow I might mess with making the lower downpipe, but I also have a fair amount of re-wiring to do.....

a few more weeks and she will be back on the road.

    Looks nice. Very nice.

Stewi, I know I've researched before, but it's not possible to swap your bell housing onto a F5M51 is it? The F5M42 is terribly weak from what everybody on Club3G has found.

I guess its not that noticeable in the pic, but im running a W5M51 from an 03' EVO. Its been totally worked by DogBox Racing. Its got a modified oiling system, all the internals were micronited (similar to REM ISF process) all new synchros and blah blah blah. Hollinger chromoly differential tube, welded center diff, WaveTrac front LSD and a modified transfer case to run FWD. Next on the list is a set of DSS axles.

Actually it was noticeable. I knew it was a x5M51 by looking at the case... was wondering what was going on.

    LOL

Then why did you ask if I looked into swapping my bell housing onto a F5M51 gearbox?

It was a rhetorical question designed for you to give the exact answer you did... like I said, I wasn't quite sure what was going on, but had an idea.

rhetorical questions are usually designed not to be answered

Need Opinions... Yeh, I just posted these same pics on a recent page, BUT I wanna get some feedback.
Lower it some more? or Keep it where its at? Granted, I just got an alignment, and I live in the city = potholes, steep driveways, etc. What would you do?

btw, the wrx spoiler is off. Wasnt meant to be

The vortex generator? That's an Evo thing. Confused.

It sounds like you want to lower it more...

But don't. That's a completely reasonable ride height... looks good, provides increased performance without compromising the roll center greatly by being too low. I'd say leave it.

Leave it J, the stance is great.

true, yet the one i bought was made for the WRX. I guess they're ripping the idea. Either way, its no longer there, LoL. Yeah I kinda want it more, and seeing as I only have the car for 2 more months and then Im gone...I want to really enjoy looking at it (sounds dumb, I know). I guess it's better I keep that height and not fuck anything up or compromise handling as u suggested. Thanks!
