the closest passenger side front doors to here are like 100 miles away, and places want like $200 +

    ugh this is so annoying

I'd rather have the knowledge and ability to do it than the money to buy it already done.

Yeah parking at college sucks, my car has so many dents scrapes and dings and of course no cameras for the SUV that dented my hood. All I can do is fix it when I get the chance and I will also be driving a daily as JDM parts will be going on soon.

If you love your car, as most of us do, I would say park as far away from college as possible. It sucks at comm college.

exactly. I actually park very far in the parking lot and my friends get pissed at me cause I make them walk really far LOL. It just so happens that I was on an end spot where it was easy to get T-boned I guess. I didn't even realize this until after this incident, of course *eye roll

and thanks for the advise Emerson. Unfortunately I don't have the time or funds to really pay for this right now. I still have a dent on my driver's side door too actually, from when I got T-boned in November 2008. The guy gave me money to fix it, but I ended up using it for the 5 speed swap.

My dad made a good point about waiting to fix that dent: its going to get dinged up no matter what. Especially in college.

Jigz, there's not very many options for junkyards/pick n pulls here I don't think. I need to do some searching around though

Yeah I got my door hit from parking on the end SMH. I learned my lesson too. They are alot of "Pick-Ur-Parts" in the Valley, check around. And there is one in Santa Fe Springs that I go to quite often, the name of the yard is ECOLOGY AUTO PARTS. They have a number of yards in SoCal. Google them and look up their locations.

Thanks Will. I'm a little far from Socal right now so I'll have to deal with this damn dent for the time being.

And Jeffylou, we don't have that problem here! 73 degrees and a little breezy :)

How were you able to wait that long? I was fairly spirited the night it was completed :)

well I wanted to wait for the clutch to break in, so that took quite some time since I'm in college and only really drive the car once a week. It was well beyond broken in by the time I drove it on Monday, but I just never got around to finding some nice streets to do some spirited driving on :)

  16. #276
Oh yeah, that's right! I forgot about the new clutch. Didn't even think of that since I re-used the original until I disassemble everything again.

for sure Emerson, I really want to do some mountain roads and have a nice group drive some day.
Jeffylou, I don't really even know how to describe this car right now. This is my first time driving manual and I still have trouble sometimes, but it's a lot of fun and makes the car feel a whole lot faster. lol

but anyway.. get that 6G74 in there! NOWWWW! hahaha
Oh and I can't believe I haven't posted any pics from the 5 speed swap yet. I'll do that tomorrow.
