Also if the radio you are going to put in there is not 4V out or has only one set of RCA's don't use, get a unit that supports said values. I think you had a late model Pio IIRC, I don't think it will push enough juice, Don't hurt to try.
I'm using a Pioneer DEH-3200UB head unit, has 4 preouts, and the iPhone uses the USB on the front of the head unit to deliver the sound, I wouldn't even try to hook it straight to the Infinity amp for the exact reason you stated, it wouldn't drive it. I can't remember offhand if the preout volts are 4v or better. I plan on getting some Rockford Fosgate Punch components all around and using a 4 channel to drive them anyway in the very near future, I just want the infinity amp to continue to drive the center channel really, it brings the soundstage out beautifully IMO. I'll be asking you for advice Vic about it all as I go bro, along with the rest of TGC.

And yeah, that's my daughter's high chair!

I see where its going. So whats the splitters for?

BTW you wont need the infinity amp to use the center channel. It can be done with your new amp and speakers

I got the splitters because if I use the integration harness I have to use all four preouts, leaving none for my sub, and I miss my sub, I must have it in the car, so the rear signal's gonna get split.

And how should I wire the center? I'm guessing use the head unit's amp and wire it directly to the head unit. I was gonna remove the tweeters and replace them with the ones from the components, and mount the rear component tweeters in the back doors.

While I'm at it, I have some gray Diamante back seat lights, they're getting wired up and going back there, the back seat is too dark at night.

Sorry for the double post, but I got the Pioneer in and running, she sounds good. The volume goes as loud as I can stand it now, with minimal distortion (if I keep the bass low, these are factory full-ranges after all). Though I've made a bad discovery: my center channel speaker is missing; it's not behind that grill. My guess is it was bad and the last owner removed it to keep the sound from being shitty. And the other thing: the passenger side tweeter is silent, my guess is the same thing. But at least I have all my music available in the whip now!

True, but it irks me knowing they're not there, I have an incomplete sound, I want the full experience, ya know? I'm gonna probably replace all the speakers next week, so it may be a moot point.

got my car on the dyno today. 440 all wheel horsepower with sae correction factor on a mainline dyno. since most people compare to dynojet #'s, the dynojet # would be around 519awhp. for now, that is perfectly fine by me. the car pulls like a mofo.

I'm torn between the Rockford Fosgate Punch components and the Infinity Reference components, infinity because that's what the car has and my sub is an Infinity reference DVC, or RF because I've heard them in action and love them, plus their active crossovers are hidden in the woofer basket, where most x-overs are external and need to be mounted.

Congrats on the power figures Brian!

This is what I'm thinking, keep them all the same brand.

I gotta say I love my Kicker 6.5's and 6x9's, not to mention the amp is clean and slightly aggressive looking. But the put out amazing mids and highs. Next step will be single kicker Comp 12".

X2. I have the same exact setup in my car with a 350.4 kicker amp and a sony xplode cd player and the thing is amazing. I don't even have the component setup. All i have is the coaxial speakers.
