For one AEM was designed for the car, the eBay intake was made to just fit it. Also the AEM has a better chance of passing an emissions test than an eBay intake. I know here in cali AEM intakes are C.A.R.B approved.

Finished hiding my sub wires and finish system install then installed LED tag light

I need to stop being lazy and hide my wires too, one reason why I don't show trunk pics (along with needing to secure my crate of tools and bucket of vital fluids).

Blew my radio/dome light fuse trying to figure the wiring for my C-pillar lights (accidentally shorted constant 12V to ground). Thanks goodness they put an extra 10A fuse in the interior fuse box panel.

Trying to figure how to wire the lights so the front dome switch controls the rears too, just wiring in to the harness means the rear lights will always come on with the doors even if you don't want them to and the rears will not cut on with the front switch if the door is closed, only with their integral toggle switch.

Yep. I have the AEM intake, great quality and no SES light. Feels peppier in the low to mid range RPMs.

Intakes wont threw CEL as long as you keep your maf, which your car wouldn't run if you didn't.

Wait, why not go eBay? Either way, gains are minimal. The AEM/Injen's just have nicer looking piping

Or possibly the oil in filter. I know when I re oiled my filter to the injen intake on my old 240, I threw a CEL for IAT sensor. But I just sprayed some maf cleaner on it and the maf as well, reset the ecu, and was good to go. When I initially installed new, I had no problems. I think I might have over oiled the filter, which is why I have only used a dry filter for the galant.

thats why you buy a dry flow filter.

But really, the eBay vs. brand name CAI/SRI has been asked >9000 times, searching is good for soul, akin to chicken soup.

8thLS6, did you let the filter dry? That's a necessary step with a re-useable oiled filter.
