Clean up and do whatever work you need to do before dropping it in!
May as well clean up he engine bay while the engine is ripped out.

Would also take the time to blow compressed air in your a/c evap drain tube or use a hanger..just incase in trash is in it. That'll mean more time before its fully clogged. I know the consequences smh. I know for me it was mission impossible because of the motor mount and lines in the way.
I already had to fix the drain tube cause it fell off. I'll definitely do that

Update!
Replaced most seals plus a timing kit on the newer motor.
Hopefully a motor swap will happen tomorrow night. Will keep you guys updated
