Finally put the OEM GT strut bar in my Eclipse RS, I didn't think I would beable to notice the difference but I actually did. I could take corners same speed or faster than before and the tires didn't squeal or understeer like it usually does.

And believe it or not but I FINALLY bought the last piece for my 5 speed swap, when it gets here gunna get it done ASAP. Cleaned the garage today so the G will be safe during the swap.

I love the way a new starter sounds. I promise I won't do a starter on an automatic 8g ever again. That was a major PITA

Bit of a waste isn't it Alex? I imagine our engines were designed to run the most efficient on a lower octane. Now the day I figure a way to transplant my N73 engine into my G I will start using Premium gas!

I have the equivalent to that which is the matrix 3.5rsx or something like that. Was installed in my dodge back in 2004 and a member on here installed it for me back in 2008 and still working. Been through few remotes. Roommate washed one and one stopped on its own.

Yeah I agree with Corey and Spdracr, I have a 4G64 and I called to verify with the dealer mechanic when I first purchased the car, on what fuel octane was the best. He recommended 91, which I noticed I get better gas mileage with and a smoother running engine. Haven't had any issues with it for the past 70,000 miles...

funny, my 6g72 didn't really care what gas I ran in it, 87, 89, 93, pretty much ran the same, sounded awsome, not much power, 19 mpg at the most, oh wait, that has to do with either the first people that changed the timing belt had the front cam flipped 180 degrees, or this occured at the assembly line and every mechanic pretty much went from there

well, installed the lower intake manifold, fuel rail, tensioner arm, timing belt guide pulley in the last 2 hours, tomorrow, the timing belt and exhaust manifold, looks like I could get my car running before Augest, shame the 6g75 and five speed will have to wait

In my 4-cyl, I ran 87 with no consequence. She ran good up to the day she was totaled. I even had a discussion about it on here and ran 93 just to see if I noticed a difference, and I couldn't. Now my 6-cyl requires it, as did my Diamante, and I'm too scared to see if putting 87 in will change how good and smooth it runs. Either way, since it's usually only like a $.20 - $.30 difference in price, over 13 gallons or so your only spending an extra $2 to $3 on your tank, run what your car calls for and be good to go.

Pointers. If you are super factory stock use 87 since mitsu trying to save you money on gas. If you put headers, CAI, intake mani, or v6 tb go with better gas like 91 CA or 93 for other states.

Why? Because when you add this mods more air is coming in to the cylinders. More air needs more fuel to composete for the extra air. 87 gets too unstable with this conditions making your engine knock, making the computer decrease timing to save the engine from damage and on the way loosing power. 91 or 93 holds better this intakes changes.

Mooding the engine you need a tune. "injectors" "fuel maps" bottom line.

Something else I found out, in Texas I could run lowest gas and here in Kansas I have to run some Exxon techron ever couple of months to clean out injectors etC. The gas most places get here is from Oklahoma called red or black gas cause it has a reddish tint to it which I noticed when filling a gas can, and obviously in Texas I had never seen that as the gas looks like vodka with no tint at all, its also apparent as I have to run stabilzer in the lawn mower otherwise the gas chokes the intake, strange huh.

Installed a Wheelskins EuroTone Charcoal/Black steering whel cover using grey thread and a baseball stitch instead of their stock loop stitch. The baseball stitch matches the stitching on the stock steering wheel. The charcoal matches our stock grey leather perfectly. I've got another one of these covers exactly like this for sale for $40.00 plus shipping if anyone wants one.
