Thank you for that link! I actually just took the drip moulding off and broke none on the driver but four on the passenger so I will need that link after paint is done.

I got the passenger side completely done today and the doors are now back on and is ready to be prepped for primer. I got the straight door on and the jambs painted black. Tomorrow morning I tackle the drivers side.

No problem man. Question, what happened to the doors, all rusted out underneath?

yeah they all rusted so I had to restore them. I also got rid of the passenger side door because my original one had a dent that we couldn't fix. I also painted the jambs black because the color I am painting the car will look half assed if I kept the jambs silver.

Been a long day. Our goal was to get the car in primer by 8pm. We got it in primer at 3am.

Nice progress! But why didnt you take your front bumper off for better paint coverage? I see you took everything else off...

I didnt take the front bumper off because I wanted to lay the paint down at the bumpers normal state. The intercooler pushes the middle part out pretty far. I didn't want to paint the car and then spider crack the front bumper when I am putting it back together. I'd rather paint it while it's on the car and let it cure for a while before I stretch the bumper back out.

Letting the whole car dry overnight then putting it all back together tomorrow. Letting the paint cure then I'll have it wet sanded and buffed.

The trunk was a major PITA when we were blocking but came out decently smooth. We got the car prepped, primed, painted, and cleared in two days. We werent in a climate controlled booth just a couple of tarps in a big barn. Came out awesome considering all those variables. BabyG has Never been a showcar and she never will be so we made due with what we have and the results is better than I have ever imagined. She is now ready to tear it up and look good doing it.

Just to spite you all I kept the radiator support silver!!!! Muahahahaha.

Just to add, we took care of all the rusty areas on the exterior and lined up the front end properly.

If only I have access to a garage I would paint the car myself.

What did paint cost?? Well everything needed like primer clear and all??

I'm so jealous. She looks good man. Job well done.
