    Aftermarket steering wheel installation

I am looking to replace my steering wheel with something either by Sparco or Momo. My only qualm with it (other than that it's illegal to do so), is what to do with my cruise control switch. I have seen some people who move it to a cruise control lever and loose mount it from the hub, but I want something a little more stable.

Do they have airbags? Id guess not and that could make it illegal I dont think your alowed to modify srs sysetm. Besides why would you want to do that lookin to take a trip to the hospital with a fractured skull if you crash? Airbags are our friends!

im thinking just make a switch panel somewhere convienient and run the wires for the cruise control there. that might work. byt yea fuck the laws, thinkg about ur insurance company. if one were to found out what u did, u might just get dropped...

you can get your wheel recovered, you know.

then you can have a new wheel AND an airbag.

heck our airbags dont work half the time anyway :lauging:

but i wouldnt get an aftermarket wheel unless it had an airbag..there was a JDM 3 spoke Mitsu wheel with airbag on eBay the other day

at 200+kph (125+mph), i don't need an airbag. the crash will instantly kill me.... if ever i survive, i'd rather die than be a vegatable for life.
    (j/k).

i replaced my jdm oem galant vr three spoke steering wheel for an aftermarket one. my car does not come equipped with an air bag.

you will need an adaptor kit for the aftermarket steering wheel. the adaptor kit hooks up to the upper steering assembly.

    Steering Adaptor

Anyone know which Sparco adaptor to use for a 7G? They do list one in the application chart, but can you use the one for the Eclipse or Mirage?

Im sure the 2g Eclipse adaptor will fit. We have the same steering wheel as them, along with the 5g 'rage,

I've replaced my OEM steering wheel with a MOMO Apache, it also came with the MOMO adaptor... but i had to remove my Cruise control and at the moment my horn isn't working...

anyone knows how to make some sort of contacts to the adaptor so that the horn would work?
