I plan on running it for the steam cleaned engine and for reliability. And lower IAT's (intake air temp) I'm not planning on increasing timing. No danger if the car can run the timing on its own. running 11.8 afr now, I'll probably run closer to a 11.0-11.5 at WOT
Hmm never thought of it that way. Though to me I dont think the gains would be there just for lower IAT

  4. #924
Yeah nah not doing it for gains hence no timing increase. Just for longevity.
Haha I'll take her for a rise off and snap a night photo when I get off of work tonight ^_^

Could of hit that HDR-ish filter on the crapple =P

Looks good man. For your tune, wouldn't you want to keep your AFR closer to 12's for torque? Maybe it's more of a preference lol.
I still need to bug you for some more getup and go for my daily 2.4L

So far I bumped timing up by 3 between 3krpms and 5.5krpms between 60 and 100 load (put 10k miles on it since). Didn't really notice much on the butt-dyno but makes me feel better. I could use some guidance for NA power!

I think it dries on the fenders first because its sloped way more then the hood.

i hate the hdr on the iphone. ugh. so over saturated.
Yeah 12's are awesome but you have to consider the engine is going to run hotter and the head design isnt the best and cant keep cool and efficient. Thats why i run a richer afr for safety and the cost of torque. Our cars arent lacking in the torque department by any means at a richer afr. Also more timing wont do much without less fuel saturation and more air going in for a cleaner burn.

So didn't get to repaint her on 3 days off. Oil feed line broke (oil on everything)in the insane temperature drop we had here and snow. Replaced it with a vibrant line (much better)
Drove her to and from work, last tank I got 405 miles lololol

Thanks man! I'm planning the tint as soon as it decides not to be an ice box around here haha. That video is a good idea.

It's more because of my driving style I think. And I mostly did city driving at the time. I went to go visit my siblings in school 3 hours away and I got like 330 to the tank. But there were a few 80-120 pulls on the highway. Haha.
